A Venture to Bring the Mythical Creature “Dragon” to Life through DNA Synthesis

An exceedingly anticipated event will be held at The National Art Center, Tokyo.

The moment when “Dragon Meat” is brought to life in this world.

First, who is LOM BABY?
LOM BABY is a creative collective consisting of artists, engineers, and scholars, all focusing on the theme of “the birth of life” and developing artificial life forms.

Starting with a presentation at the World Trade Center in New York,

we successfully held a solo exhibition at LIQUIDROOM in Shibuya, Tokyo,

and attracted approximately 4,500 visitors over two days at the Grand Palais in Paris.

Our large-scale solo exhibition [LOM BABY_PLUS ULTRA], held at GINZA 456 (one of the most prestigious locations in Tokyo), saw all exhibited works sold out,

 setting the highest number of visitors and the highest transaction value in the marketplace’s history.

Their works have received acclaim not only from domestic but also international collectors, with pieces spread across the United States, France, the United Kingdom, and Mexico.

After the large-scale solo exhibition
We will unveil works at The National Art Center, Tokyo, themed on “the birth of life,” a milestone humanity has yet to reach.

The Latest Bioart “Dragon Meat”
An attempt to bring the mythical creature “dragon” to life through DNA synthesis.
By synthesizing the DNA of animals and bacteria that make up the dragon based on various traditions, we create “Dragon DNA” and exhibit “Dragon Meat” generated from that DNA.

Frozen Embryo
A work to explore the theme “Can we love data?”—a main subject of LOM BABY.
We implant blockchain into artificial cells to explore the essence of life as felt by humans.

Additionally, four digital bioartists and biologists will gather to present works such as “Human Thread,” “Cell Ring,” “Electric Mouse,” and “Glowing Clothes.”
